Notable Projects : Part 1

Here is a list of recent websites and projects I've worked on. This section highlights my proficiency with technologies like React, StencilJS, Vanilla JavaScript, SCSS, and BEM principles, C#, Razor Pages, PHP, and WordPress, as well as some backend development using Azure or MySQL.

Many of these are established projects that require continuous improvement, utilizing Git and CI/CD methods.

Many projects required both working with and creating my own designs, including adhering to Figma designs, developing and using component libraries, with a strong focus on WCAG and accessibility in the user experience.

The website for Lillestrøm municipality, used by its citizens for accessing information, also boasts a robust online form application system.

I was solely responsible for the StencilJS web-component framework, the styling guide, and additional JavaScript functionalities that enhanced not only the front end but also supported the EPiServer CMS for content creation on the back end.

The back end was based on a .NET Razor Pages framework and integrated with Microsoft systems like Active Directory, Teams, and Azure. Consequently, I was actively involved in both the front-end and back-end codebases, contributing features such as image resizing controls for the editorial team.

The site hosts an overview/calendar of all cultural activities within the Lillestrøm municipality. This page is part of a multi-site setup intended to serve as a template for other cultural sites.

I played a central role in the planning and execution phases of the site, adapting to design and code paradigms already established in this Razor/React/EPiServer CMS project.

As the frontend lead on the team, I also had to quickly respond to feature requests from the Cultural Department.

As the municipality of Lillestrøm has many libraries, this page was created as a central landing page for all of them. It features an event calendar, opening hours, information about services, and relevant articles.

I joined the project during the final stage before its launch and have been responsible for bug fixing and feature enhancements, such as improving the mobile navigation and ensuring the site is fully WCAG compliant.

This project was a great learning opportunity, as it was my first experience working with the interplay between .NET Razor Pages and server-side rendered React components.

The site was built for an established driving school franchise that wanted to reinvent the field of driving instruction using technologies like driving simulators to create a more effective learning experience.

I was put in charge of maintaining and updating the site with new content and features, such as new forms and systems for booking.

Notable Projects : Part 2

The projects in this section demonstrate my capabilities with technologies like Vue, React, PlayCanvas, and Vanilla JavaScript, along with Tailwind, Threejs, creating 3D web experiences, and using gamification to enhance user experience and engagement.

Additionally, I have gained substantial experience in initiating projects and product development in a lean development manner, as well as optimizing user journeys and conversion funnels.

House of Math was a startup that focused on teaching math fundamentals through a gamified process.

I was hired as both a game designer and a frontend developer right at the start of the project. Therefore, I was in a position to identify and select important web technologies for the project, such as the GSAP animation library, for example.

It also provided an opportunity to learn and work with 3D for the web. In collaboration with the backend team, we created infrastructure for online competitions for some of the games we developed.

This is a special area inside the House of Math main page, created specifically with the younger House of Math audience in mind. Here, they are encouraged to learn fundamental math principles in a more engaging manner.

The idea was to guide the younger users to math tasks in a structured yet more 'magical' way, aiming to inspire them.

I had the task of porting the project from one tech stack to another, as it was originally an outsourced production. This presented a challenge, but I gained significant technical knowledge through the porting process, which was essential for other important aspects of the House of Math application.

Home Base’, rebranded as ‘Space’, is a game area within the House of Math website. It was created to celebrate user achievements and provide gamified interactions to motivate the users.

It combines technologies like React, Tailwind, GSAP, and PlayCanvas. I was in charge of setting up the first prototype and integrating these technologies.

I also worked in a project leader capacity and took on some design responsibilities, developing the designs in Figma alongside the main UX designer on the team.

A startup/consultancy business focused on delivering app and web development services for both internal and external projects.

I was brought on board as a designer and frontend developer, working on both internal and external projects. In this role, I had the opportunity to work with Vue and React codebases, catering to both web and mobile app development.

This was also one of my first experiences working with NoSQL database systems like Firebase and developing single-page applications.
